Flatbread, Hummus & Baba Ghanoush

We were supposed to make pizza, but what we thought was yeast that we mixed in the dough, unfortunately was baking powder (blame Carrefour grocery staff).

But fortunately, instead of throwing the dough away, the guy had a brainwave and thought of making flat bread, hummus and baba ghanoush.

Honestly, baba ghanoush reminds me of some cartoon character. And hummus must be a type of truck, isn’t it?

It’s rated 8 out of 10 stars from the Royal British Standards. He is very pleased.

Steak and Blue Cheese Salad

This post again features guest chef, the guy, manning the kitchen.

He said this is one of his favorite salads, the other one being the spicy Thai-ish salad.

I can’t really say the exact measurements for the ingredients, as he was just chopping, slicing and mixing away without measuring.

For this post, we have the guy whipping up 2 dishes from scratch – Fried breaded milkfish (Piniritong Bangus) and Thai-inspired salad.

Not too happy with the photos here, still have get used to external flash. Not really a fan of Canon’s 430 EXII’s buttons, since you have to first press the Set button before you can adjust the flash power. Anyway, I digress.
