This is a “cooking blog” set up by Geraldine, a photographer living in Beijing since 2008.
For years, Geraldine can’t cook, nor does she have patience to cook. She can only fry (scrambled eggs, bacon, fried rice), She’s not a fan of the garlic smell on the fingers, nor the oily and smokey smell of food on her hair and clothes. Although she can bake quite a bit.
Two years ago, she met this handsome and dashing British guy named Peter… and he CAN COOK; be it a fancy complicated 3-course meal or just a quick salad from scratch – you name it, he can make it. Thus, on some posts, Peter is referred to as “Royal Chef”, because of his high standards when it comes to food, plus like he’s British right.
And so, Geraldine decided that she needed to learn how to cook… and record her misadventures in this blog. But really, most of the time, it’s Royal Chef cooking and Geraldine taking the photos.
So far, she hasn’t made anything that made both of them sick, so that’s good news.
Recipes copied off the internet or cookbooks are usually not followed; I’d mark them in red. Also, servings are mostly for 2 people.
